David donated the equipment he wore at the World Championships in Budapest to help Florentina Filipovici, a former junior world rowing vice-champion, and her three children. Together with Hope and Homes for Children and a community of nearly 3,000 donors, a warm and welcoming home was built in just a few months in Suceava County for a single mother facing a serious illness and great difficulties.

David once again demonstrated that he is a champion—this time, a champion of Good—being the person who managed to raise the highest amount in donations in 2022 through the fundraising platform.
